Eucharistic Ministers
The communion rite is the heart and center of the Eucharistic liturgy. As we gather around the Lord's table to receive the one bread and drink from a shared cup, we recognize each other as sisters and brothers bound together by the love of Jesus Christ.
Requirements:
A prayerful demeanor.
A willingness to follow the given schedule or find a substitute.
Arriving for Mass 15 minutes early to prepare the gifts of bread and wine and to meditate on the event that is to unfold during Mass.
Staying after Mass to clean the holy vessels, etc.
Training is provided:
The theological foundation and "how-to's" are explained. Continuing education is provided to deepen the minister's understanding of the ministry and enrich the minister's awareness of the mystery of Christ and the people we serve.
There is no age limit! Teenagers 16 and older to grandparents are welcome!
